The arrangement between a clinic and its clients is, in the end, a small contract built mostly on trust. The lines below are the ones we are willing to put in writing.
To listen first. To recommend only what we believe to be in your interest, and to decline what is not. To perform the work to the standard of a senior London practice. To keep what is said in studio, in studio. To be the same clinic at the eleventh visit as we were at the first.
That you arrive on time, or as near as the city allows. That you tell us, candidly, what you are taking and what you have had done. That you give the work the time it asks of you — twenty-four months is, for most plans, the minimum. That you cancel an appointment, when you must, with at least forty-eight hours' notice; we shall do the same.
A first consultation requires a £350 hold, credited in full to any plan undertaken within ninety days. Cancellation accepted up to forty-eight hours prior, without question. Beyond that, the hold is retained.
Aesthetic medicine is an art before it is a science. We use Mirror to make our science as exact as we can; the art remains the art. We will tell you, plainly, when something cannot be promised. We do not photograph for marketing. We do not publish before-and-afters. We do not name our clients.
Tell the concierge. Tell Dr Aboulafia. We will make it right, on the terms we both think are fair. We have, on three occasions, refunded a plan in full because the right thing was simply that.
